The construction of a new home differs from other product manufacturing processes in several ways. By keeping these differences in mind, you can enjoy participating in the construction process and assist us in building your new home.
As consumers, we rarely have the opportunity to watch as products we purchase are created. But your new home is created in front of you.
You have more opportunity for input into the design and finish details of a new home than most other products. Our success in this effort to personalize your home depends on effective communication.
Because of the time required by construction schedules, you will have many opportunities to view your home as it is built.
We plan to meet with you at several points in this process. The first of these is a pre-construction conference where you will meet your superintendent, review your home plans, selections, and any custom home changes you have requested. At that time, the superintendent will provide you with a brief overview of the construction process and answer your questions. Two other opportunities will be provided during construction. Generally these occur at frame stage just after installation of the mechanical systems, the other is usually scheduled just prior to painting. If you desire additional meetings, please contact us to arrange an appointment.
At these meetings, you will have our undivided attention. We will discuss questions you have, review the delivery date target, and confirm selections and any change orders are being installed correctly. We understand that you will want to visit your new home between these construction tours. Whether you are on an official tour or stopping by for a casual visit, we ask that you keep safety in mind.
